The bid package outlines the Authority\u2019s need for prudent, scalable, reliable, and efficient power generation solutions that align with the territory\u2019s energy resilience, affordability, and sustainability objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Contractors interested in bidding on RFP 005-2025-STX\/STT must request access to the bid package by emailing <a href=\"mailto:procurements@usvipfa.com\">procurements@usvipfa.com<\/a>. The Authority, in conjunction with the SuperPMO, will host site visits in July, and proposals will be accepted by email at <a href=\"mailto:odr_ebids@usvipfa.com\">odr_ebids@usvipfa.com<\/a> until August 8, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. AST.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe release of this solicitation is a critical step toward modernizing our generation infrastructure in both districts,\u201d said Karl Knight, CEO of the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority. \u201cBy replacing aging generators with more efficient, scalable, and resilient systems, we\u2019re not only improving day-to-day reliability for our customers \u2014 we\u2019re also positioning the territory to withstand potential future disasters better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The bid package, released on June 11, was designed to accommodate two standalone project sites with a preferred delivery timeframe that is concurrent with each other.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis collaborative effort between the Water and Power Authority and the Office of Disaster Recovery is another sign of progress as we continue to commence critical construction projects, managed by the SuperPMO that aim to strengthen the territory\u2019s infrastructure,\u201d said Adrienne L. Williams Octalien, Director of the Office of Disaster Recovery.<\/p>\n<p>To date, several contracts have been awarded to rebuild schools and healthcare facilities throughout the territory.
