Governor Bryan Meets with FEMA Officials on Rebuilding Schools, JFL Hospital

Governor Albert Bryan Jr. along with Office of Disaster Director Adrienne Williams-Octalien and Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority Executive Director Daryl Griffith met with FEMA Acting Administrator Peter Gaynor and other key FEMA officials Wednesday for an update on FEMA’s approval of industry standards for rebuilding the territory’s schools and the Juan F. Luis Hospital on St. Croix. The group also discussed timelines for payment to Sheltering and Temporary Essential Power (STEP) contractors and the territory’s cost-share waiver.
