Funds will be used to maintain normal operating levels and some capital expenses. Expenditures will fall under the broad categories of preventing, preparing and responding to COVID-19. This program expects the financial support provided to public housing authorities will enhance PHA´s efforts for continued operation of safe, sanitary, and decent housing for public housing residents and staff.

More importantly, the HAP funds will assist PHAs in preventing termination of assistance to those most in need, including persons with disabilities.
