Energy and Sustainability Fair

The Virgin Islands Energy Office (VIEO) and UVI Caribbean Green Technology Center (CGTC) cordially invite you to the inaugural Energy and Sustainability Fair to be held on the UVI campuses of St. Thomas on Saturday, October 15th and on St. Croix on Sunday, October 30th, 2022.

The Energy Fair addresses the need for resilience and energy independence in the Territory. This event will connect the general public to products and services that will strengthen the robustness of their energy systems, increase their resilience and showcase sustainable practices, to help Virgin Islanders knowledgably maneuver the transition to energy independence.

During this event attendees will be able to connect with local vendors and exhibitors in the renewable energy and sustainability industries, attend educational workshops and interactive outdoor demonstrations, and listen to the keynote speaker discuss regional trends in the Caribbean regarding the energy transition. Workshops will include Residential Solar, WAPA and Renewable Energy, Household Tools and Tips, Internet of Things, Composting, Powering Through a Blackout, Electric Cars, Cistern Maintenance, Desalinization and Water Quality and Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Attendees are encouraged to bring the entire family as there will be games and activities for both grades K-12 as well as our college students at the University of the Virgin Islands.

We very much hope that you can attend this event. The Energy Fair will provide many opportunities to learn about how we, Virgin Islanders, can start to transition towards energy independence and increasing our resilience.
