Project Overview
The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is seeking proposals from qualified Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firms to provide services for the HMGP Project #4340-0132 – UVI STT Generator Elevation on the St. Thomas campus. This project aims to elevate and protect critical power infrastructure, ensuring reliable power supply during prolonged outages caused by disaster events.

Scope of Work
The scope of work (SOW) includes, but is not limited to:

• Engineering analysis and design feasibility
• Land surveying and Environmental & Historic Preservation (EHP) review
• Engineering design and permitting
• Technical feasibility study
• Cost-effectiveness analysis
• Environmental reviews of the preferred mitigation alternatives

The project involves the elevation of reinforced, wind-rated concrete enclosures, mounting pads, transformers, and a transfer switch to protect the 15kV, 2000KW generator, ensuring the university’s operational continuity before, during, and after a disaster event.
