Recovery in Focus Showcases First-Time Home Buyer Opportunities

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The Office of Disaster Recovery (ODR) and the Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (VIHFA), in collaboration with WTJX, announces the May 25, 2023 episode of Recovery in Focus, which airs tonight at 8 p.m. on WTJX-TV Channel 12 and online at facebook.com/wtjx.

Thursday’s episode highlights a wide range of first-time homeownership opportunities territory-wide, including programs offered by the Economic Development Authority, VIHFA and Rural Development.

Tune in as Wayne Biggs, Chief Executive Officer of the Economic Development Authority, shares all the details on the territory’s newest opportunity for moderate-income home buyers, VI Slice. The host for Recovery in Focus, ODR Director Adrienne L. Williams-Octalien and co-host Dayna Clendinen, VIHFA’s Interim Executive Director, are also joined by Ann Hanley, Director of Programs for VIHFA, to cover additional avenues towards home ownership.

WTJX will share tonight’s broadcast online and on the PBS app, which can be viewed via TV streaming devices such as Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Firestick, etc., as well as on smart devices.

Recovery in Focus premiered in March 2020 and has debuted approximately thirty episodes providing current news and status updates on recovery-related projects and topics throughout the territory.
