Gallows Bay Road Rehabilitation Update

The Department of Public Works (DPW) is updating the community on roadwork taking place in Gallows Bay. DPW’s contractor, Eleven Construction, LLC, has constructed the concrete pavement and completed the sidewalk on the northbound lane. Construction crews have moved the barricades to begin work on the southbound lane. Test engineers continue to perform concrete and compaction tests at the site.

The scope of work for this project includes sidewalks, drainage improvements, and other miscellaneous work. The traveling public is urged to avoid this area while construction is in progress. Motorists will be detoured onto alternate routes. The department is asking drivers to pay attention to the posted construction signs and follow the directions of traffic control personnel while construction is in progress.
