ODR Invites Local Business Community to Industry Day 2025

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The Office of Disaster Recovery (ODR) is encouraging contractors and other small business owners that service the construction industry to register for its second Rebuild USVI Industry Day. Events will take place in both districts on Monday, October 27th, at the Westin Beach Resort on St. Thomas and on Wednesday, October 29th, at the University of the Virgin Islands on St. Croix.

Industry Day 2025 will give attendees the opportunity to hear directly from the prime contractors selected through a competitive process to complete critical infrastructure projects across the territory. Local business leaders will gain insight into planned capital improvement and resilience projects for schools, healthcare facilities, roads, and utilities, as well as the requirements to become a subcontractor or vendor.

The event will bring together the contractors procured under the Rebuild USVI initiative and the territory’s business community to foster fair and equitable distribution of work. Each person interested in attending must register by October 22, 2025. Space is limited, and priority will be given to local small contractors and business owners.

Adrienne L. Williams-Octalien, Director of the Office of Disaster Recovery, “strongly encourages Virgin Islands’ contractors and construction industry suppliers to seize this opportunity and begin making preparations to support these critical infrastructure projects. Industry Day 2025 is key to ensuring local vendors are not left behind as we start rebuilding schools, hospitals, health facilities, and roads in both districts.”

The first Industry Day in December 2023 kicked off the Rebuild USVI initiative. Since then, the ODR has stood up its Super Project Management Office, which has released more than ten construction solicitations and secured multiple contracts representing over $4.5 billion in obligated federal disaster funding.

The Virgin Islands Office of Disaster Recovery remains committed to supporting the residents of the Virgin Islands through recovery and reconstruction efforts, ensuring a resilient and sustainable future for the Territory. For more information, visit https://www.usviodr.com/industry-day-2025/.
