Public Hearing on Federal Consistency

for the New Arthur A. Richards PreK-8 School

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Department of Planning and Natural Resources announces that pursuant to Virgin Islands Rules and Regulations, Title 12, Chapter 21, Section 904-9, an application for Federal Consistency Determination, CZX-3-23(FC), has been submitted by VI Department of Education. During this meeting, the Committee will hear the details related to the construction of the new Arthur A. Richards Pre-K to 8th Grade School on the former Evelyn M. Williams Elementary School Site at 13A Estate Mount Pleasant.

All persons interested are invited to be present and heard at the scheduled Public Hearing on the proposed project which begins on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. In an effort to help to reduce the global spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), this meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Zoom.

Properly signed statements concerning the proposed project, addressed to the undersigned, will become part of the hearing record. Written statements must be submitted by February 7, 2023, via email to [email protected].

The project documents are available for public review on the DPNR-CZM Website at https://dpnr.vi.gov/coastal-zone-management/what-we-do/federal-consistency/ Further, plans for the proposed project are on file for review by appointment only at the Department of Planning and Natural Resources, Division of Coastal Zone Management, located at 45 Mars Hill, Second Floor, St. Croix, Virgin Islands (340) 773-1082, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., except holidays.
