U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – Recovery in Focus continues its fourth season with a comprehensive overview of workforce development programs and updates on recovery projects across the Territory. The Office of Disaster Recovery (ODR), in collaboration with the Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (VIHFA) and WTJX-TV Channel 12 (WTJX), will air a new episode this Thursday, October 26 at 8 p.m. on WTJX and online at Facebook.com/WTJX.
Joining host and ODR Director Adrienne L. Williams-Octalien are guests Gary Molloy, Commissioner of the Department of Labor, Michael Carty, the Virgin Islands Workforce Development Board Chairman, and Dr. Monique Faulkner, State Director of Career, Technical and Adult Education. Tune in for an engaging discussion on the territory’s workforce needs as well as ongoing initiatives both in the public and private sectors designed to address the need for skilled workers in the Territory. The October episode includes comments from contractors, residents, workforce summit attendees, government agencies, and the University of the Virgin Islands.
WTJX will also share this month’s broadcast on their website and the PBS app, which can be viewed via TV streaming devices such as Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Firestick, etc., and on smart devices. Recovery in Focus premiered in March 2020 and has aired over thirty episodes, providing current news and status updates on recovery-related projects and topics throughout the Territory.
