The Isaac Boynes Ballpark in Grove Place is currently under construction to replace perimeter, court and field fencing, install park and field lighting and refurbish both dugouts.
The Department of Sports, Parks, and Recreation was obligated $331K by the Federal Emergency Management Agency through its Public Assistance Program in July 2019 to refurbish the St. Croix facility.
The park located in the heart of Grove is adjacent to the D. Hamilton Jackson Park and Bandstand, which hosts the November 1st activities commemorating D. Hamilton Jackson, known as Liberty Day or Bull and Bread. The recreational area also accommodates a variety of sporting, community and recreational activities.
The project was awarded to DVD construction and should be complete by the end of July 2021.
